Crashes horribly, mac over heats, etc. known issues, non ideal for a professional software that has been released to the public. Other than part power issues with systems that it'southward mean't to back up, VDJ 8 is wonderful. Would be nice to be able to utilize it permanently though.

VDJ8 didn't laissez passer a one 60 minutes test on my kitchen table. I DJ with music videos in NYC, I apply a new 13" macbook I bought last twelvemonth. I as well tested it on a 3 yr one-time Sony Vaio. Virtual DJ 8 is worse than 7.4, which was very unstable on mac. see the following issues: > When using the sampler for video (prune banks replacement), the audio slows down and starts to stutter. This is with all video sources, regardless of encoding or resolution. All in all Virtual DJ eight has less working features than seven.4, and seems less stable. They spent iii years developing information technology, and apparently never tested it on a thirteen" Macbook. The cross platform characterization should be removed since they clearly develop it for PC. I tried my best to be objective in this post, but I am very annoyed and frustrated. I waited then long hoping for a stable, truly cross platform version of this program, that had allot of groovy ideas, and instead nosotros went from bad to worse. I am done with virtual DJ, I will be moving to different program.

cehlet And then far this is the issues I have run into on VDJ 8 on my mac when I change the Midi timing from automated to 1ms it puts out a horrendous crackling sound both over the headphones and the line out on my MIX TRACK PRO II. Video's Seem to error destine when attempting to load them. MIX Track PRO Two takes multiple launches to choice upwardly and piece of work despite all settings attempted to be modified. I had no bug with this Controller on VDJ previous versions. When I change the Sync Control to Play_Sync_GetBPM it doesn't work period. I accept hearing problems and demand this function to get me close to synced I tin can fine melody the sync by ear subsequently it gets me shut. Information technology crashes ofttimes after the last update to VDJ 8. After I set a custom button regardless of setting gear up to show the sorcerer or not it withal brings up the sorcerer and when I finally go information technology to finish launching the magician it loses the setting I made for the button. When I tell it to scan a new music folder for bpm'southward etc... it locks upwardly and crashes. when I get dorsum in it has lost all the settings I personalized. I love this programme but in that location is major bugs that need to be worked out of it. I would too like to see a wizard to make it possible to apply effects made for PC only on the windows version. Also I suggest giving it the ability to practise .rar files as allot of my karaoke files are .rar files and I have talked to other KJ's that accept said the same thing that some of their files are .rar Besides the ability for mac to actually add all your song files to the data base and I know its not adding them all as I have over a meg Karaoke songs and its merely adding lxx,000 of them and that'due south with it fully scanning the folders and me even going back and scanning them again, and it be smart enough after you lot get it to add all my files for the program to know when you have doubles and triples of the same song especially in Karaoke and suggest to when that happens move them to a binder for deletion so that you don't waste space. Some other feature to add together would be automobile save role like discussion processing programs have so that if the program crashes subsequently you make changes y'all don't accept to become through it and practise all the changes over again instead of having to exit the program every time you make changes to save information technology. Some other suggestion would exist to add the ability for it to automatically scan songs for embedded samples as some pools embed the samples into the songs like BPMd and you lot can in some of the programs automatically drag that sample out of the song and relieve it and some programs automatically scan the samples and populate the option to salvage them automatically. Some other suggestion besides for Karaoke would be like PCDJ has where y'all have a singer list that shows in the display who is up next and the song their singing. Not having to add that pare for karaoke and and then having to use the file info'southward to put their proper name in as then you have to go back through and alter the file info's after their done singing which is more piece of work than in necessary. Another suggestion would be the power to have a remote asking station that has your song database in information technology where people tin can search your song catalog and so select a song they desire to sing and information technology automatically adds it to your play list with their proper noun next to information technology this is for both music and karaoke. I will mail service more than suggestions as I think all the idea's I had.

Tried installing the final release on my Mac.
Installation procedure completed ("Success") but no new icon in Applications. Existing Pre-release was Not updated wither.
Tried moving pre-release to Documents/Virtual DJ eight.app.bak, rebooting and installing again, no new icon in Applications either.

firekraag Oh right. Misread "eight.0.ane" instead of "8.0.1785". I've been opening a new "Virtually Wanted Features" thread hither.
Kinda disappointed though, I was expecting some fixes in the final release Simply I'thousand still very happy nearly all the improvements over seven.4.

Already 8.0.1799.659 and all the same RAM consumption. Impossible to use VDJ8 on Mac for a gig ........
Using the Automix to listen thirteen songs to test the RAM, the VDJ RAM use increased to 12 Get

djsimonsez Now over double the cpu usage from 7.4.one to v8. Cracking!!! Normal CPU playing videos was 23%........At present 53%. Im on a mbp 13", 2012, Processor: i5 2.five, 16gb Ram and ii x SSD

MacBook Pro 13" (early on 2011) running Mac OSX 10.9.3 Is anyone experiencing a slight misalignment between the graphic waves and the bodily sound. When the beat is sounding completely in sync I find that the graphic shell overlay is slightly off (meaning the peaks practice not perfectly marshal). I call back the correct deck, if I recall correctly is slightly to the left. If someone can check it with simple house or techno with distinct beats it should be fairly obvious. The other possibility is my eye - ear coordination is out of sink. Perhaps I am processing the color red more slowly :-) Thanks,

Yes, my waves forms are moving at the speeds of 45s but the audio is similar regular.... then disappointed...

cehlet My Macbook Pro is Seizing up fully as a system under the full release especially when I try to record a fix. Not happy at all with it non happy at all!

Dan (djtouchdan) This issue has been reported. There is zilch you tin can do to fix this. Hopefully there will be an update soon to prepare this issue just I don't know when or which update this will be.
